Audio Visual
Join the AV Team and enjoy serving behind the scenes where faith and technology meet! Our tech crew helps the whole church connect, grow, and worship smoothly each Sunday by supporting sound, visuals, and livestream elements.
- Details: AV volunteers assist with minor equipment setup, operate the sound desk or visual screens during rehearsal and the service, and help ensure audio quality remains consistent and clear. You’ll work closely with the technical leader and worship teams to create a distraction-free, excellent worship environment.
- Time Commitment: Serve on a rotating roster — typically once-twice a month, with rehearsal before the service.
- Requirements: Technical aptitude (experience helpful but not essential), Willingness to learn — full training provided, Ability to stay calm and focused during live services.

Crèche
Crèche is a welcoming and nurturing space where our youngest children can begin to discover God’s love. Each Sunday, we create a joyful, safe environment where little ones can play, learn simple truths about Jesus, and feel cared for by trusted leaders as they connect, grow, and feel loved within our church family.
- Details: We’re looking for volunteers as required, who can help foster a warm, loving atmosphere through songs, stories, playtime, and gentle care — all pointing children toward Jesus.
- Time Commitment: To build strong relationships with the children and the team, volunteers can serve once or twice a month, depending on availability.
- Requirements: A personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Saviour, A love for children and toddlers, a patient, caring, team-focused attitude. A working with children check.

English Conversational (EC) Ministry
Are you passionate about welcoming newcomers and helping them feel more confident in their English? Join our EC Ministry Team and help people connect, grow, and feel at home in our community. This ministry makes a meaningful difference in the lives of those learning English and adjusting to life and study in Australia.
- Details: EC volunteers support learners through friendly conversation practice, small-group interaction, and simple language activities. The focus is on building relationships, offering encouragement, and creating a safe, supportive environment where people can grow in both language skills and community connections.
- Time Commitment: Currently flexible — more details to come as the ministry develops.
- Requirements:
- Patient, encouraging, and warm-hearted
- Enjoy meeting new people and helping others feel comfortable
- No teaching background or second language needed
- Simply a love for people and a willingness to listen and guide

Events Planning
The Events Planning Team helps our ESCCC family connect, grow, and serve through meaningful gatherings. Each event — big or small — is an opportunity to build community, celebrate God’s goodness, and extend Christ’s love to our church and neighbours.
- Details: This ministry plans and coordinates church-wide events such as celebrations, community lunches, special Sundays, and outreach activities. Team members assist with planning, setup, decorations, logistics, and communication, ensuring every gathering runs smoothly and reflects our church’s warmth and unity in Christ.
- Time Commitment: Varies with each event. Typically 2–4 hours per week in the lead-up, plus time on the event day for setup and pack-down.
- Requirements: Volunteers should:

- Be organised, flexible, and team-oriented
- Serve prayerfully and with excellence
- Attend planning meetings and assist at key events where possible

Kitchen Support
Do you love being in the kitchen and working alongside others? Join our Kitchen Support Team and help our church connect, grow, and serve through the gift of hospitality. Mealtimes at ESCCC are a wonderful way we share God’s love, build friendships, and create a welcoming community for all ages.

- Details: Kitchen Support volunteers assist with meal preparation, cooking, serving, and cleaning up after church events and programs. Whether you’re chopping veggies, washing dishes, or plating meals, every task helps create a warm and caring environment where people can connect over food.
- Time Commitment: Serve as needed for events or programs — typically once every few months, depending on the church calendar and your availability.
- Requirements: Volunteers should:
- Enjoy teamwork and serving others
- Be willing to follow directions and help wherever needed
- Have a positive attitude and a heart for hospitality
- No formal kitchen experience required — just a joyful willingness to serve

Prayer Warriors (Group Prayer)
Are you passionate about prayer and supporting others spiritually? Join our Prayer Warriors Team and help our church connect, grow, and serve through intercession. Every ministry and gathering at ESCCC is strengthened when God’s people lift it up in prayer.
- Details: Prayer Warriors commit to regularly praying for our young adults, leaders, and church gatherings — either on-site during events or from home at the scheduled time. Each week, you’ll receive specific prayer points to guide your intercession and encouragement.
- Time Commitment: Typically Friday nights and/or Sunday mornings.
- Requirements: Volunteers should:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus and a commitment to prayer
- Be spiritually grounded and dependable
- Have a heart to encourage and cover others in prayer

Mission Support
The Mission Committee exists to help ESCCC fulfil Christ’s Great Commission — to make disciples of all nations. This team helps the church connect, grow, and serve by supporting local and global missions, caring for missionaries, and encouraging every member to live missionally in everyday life.

- Details: Committee members oversee ESCCC’s mission partnerships, prayer support, mission awareness, and giving. They plan mission-focused Sundays, coordinate communication with missionaries, and promote opportunities for short-term mission trips, and hands-on engagement with God’s work around the world.
- Time Commitment: Approximately 2–3 hours per month, including meetings, prayer updates, and coordination tasks. Additional time may be required during mission events or special campaigns.

Musicians / Worship Music
Love using your musical gifts to glorify God and serve His church? Join our Music & Worship Team and help our congregation connect, grow, and serve through meaningful, Christ-centered worship. We’re especially looking for electric guitarists and other passionate musicians eager to lead people into God’s presence through music.
- Details: Worship Team members play a vital role in creating an engaging, Spirit-led worship experience during Sunday services and special events. You’ll rehearse with the team, learn set lists in advance, and contribute your unique sound to our church’s musical community.
- Time Commitment: Typically one Sunday a month, including a mid-week rehearsal and early Sunday call time. Additional opportunities may arise during special services or events.

Small Group Leaders – YAM or Older AM
Do you have a heart for helping others connect, grow, and serve in their faith and community? Join our team of Small Group Leaders and guide others in meaningful fellowship and spiritual growth.
- Details: We’re looking for leaders to facilitate small groups, Bible studies, or gathering groups that meet regularly to share life, pray, and grow together. Training is provided. Whether you enjoy leading discussions, hosting in your home, or guiding people through specific seasons of life, there’s a place for you to serve and make a lasting impact.

Welcome Team
If you enjoy meeting new people and greeting familiar faces, the Welcome Team is a wonderful way to connect, grow, and serve at ESCCC. Volunteers help create a warm, inviting atmosphere where everyone feels noticed, valued, and at home.
- Details: Welcomers greet people as they arrive for the service with a smile, a friendly word, and genuine care. You’ll help new visitors find their seats, offer assistance when needed, and set the tone for a joyful time of worship and fellowship.
- Time Commitment: We serve on a four-month rotation — you serve for one month, then have three months off.
- Requirements: Volunteers should:
- Be friendly, sociable, and attentive to others’ needs
- Have a heart for hospitality and a love for people
- Be willing to notice and assist anyone who may need help

Young Adults Ministry (YAM)
Our Young Adults Ministry is all about helping young adults connect, grow, and serve together in Christ. We gather most Sundays after church for lunch, conversation, and small group Bible studies — with fun social events once a month. It’s a relaxed, welcoming community where faith and friendships deepen side by side.
- Details: We’re looking for team members and small group leaders who can help young adults feel at home and spiritually supported. You’ll play a part in welcoming newcomers, facilitating group discussions, sharing life together, and encouraging others in their walk with God.
- Time Commitment: Join us most Sundays after church, with an additional monthly social. Leaders and helpers typically serve weekly or fortnightly, depending on availability.
- Requirements: Volunteers should:
- Have a personal relationship with Jesus and a desire to grow in faith
- Be friendly, reliable, and able to engage with others
- Enjoy building community and helping young adults feel included. Many of which attend UNSW
- Be open to leading or supporting small group discussions
